Herbs for the Circulatory System

This is the second module of Steven Horne and Thomas Easley's Advanced Herbal Training Program. It will be available soon as a correspondence course and as a downloadable e-course.
It’s no secret that cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in all modern nations. Half of the population dies of heart attacks, strokes and other diseases related to the circulatory system.
Unfortunately, much of the information we’re given about preventing cardiovascular disease doesn’t really work. Lowering cholesterol with statin drugs, for instance, has not reduced the number of deaths from heart disease. The high carbohydrate, low fat diets that were supposed to help haven’t worked either.
Fortunately, natural medicine has a lot of answers when it comes to preventing heart disease. We know that the real cause of cardiovascular problems is inflammation, primarily brought on by poor diet, stress and environmental pollution. Antioxidant nutrients, a healthier diet and various supplements can reduce one’s risk of this number one killer.
However, when it comes to remedies we can use to actually treat cardiovascular conditions after they have shown up, most natural healers are limited in their material medica. This is sad, because there are many great cardiovascular remedies in the plant kingdom.
In this Advanced Herbal Training Program Module we discuss popular herbs for the circulatory system like capsicum, garlic, ginkgo and hawthorn, in depth. But we don’t stop there. We introduce you to other important remedies you may not be familiar with, such as lily of the valley, motherwort, linden, prickly ash, mistletoe, periwinkle, night blooming cerus and arjuna. These remedies can actually treat very serious cardiovascular problems when used correctly.
So, if you want to expand your knowledge of how to work with cardiovascular problems like tachychardia (rapid heart beat), congestive heart failure, high blood pressure and other serious cardiovascular issues, this is the class for you.
Here are the herbs we discuss in this second module.
