The Fastest Way to Learn
How to Help People Heal with
Herbs and Nutritional Supplements

When a person goes to a hardware store and buys a drill, what they are really looking for is a hole. In a similar manner, when people buy herbs and supplements, what they are really looking for is better health. So, anyone who wants to be in the business of selling herbs and supplements needs to understand how to identify which products will really give their customers the results they really want.

Unfortunately, there are hundreds of illnesses people can experience and hundreds of nutritional supplements to chose from, so the task of learning how to select the right herbal remedies and nutritional supplements for each person can be a difficult one to master. What complicates matters more, is that it is illegal for herbalists and other natural healers to diagnose diseases and prescribe treatments for them in most states.

These problems can be big obstacles for people who want to become herbalists or natural healers.

Fortunately, I learned a easier and much more simple way of recommending herbs and supplements for healing from my first herb teacher, Master Herbalist Edward Milo Millet. Ed called his system the ABC+D approach.

Instead of diagnosing diseases and recommending remedies based on diseases, the ABC+D Approach recognizes that there are underlying causes of all disease. By removing these underlying causes, we help the body heal itself, completely bypassing the need to diagnose and prescribe.

My name is Steven Horne, and I’m a professional member and recent past president of the American Herbalists Guild. It’s been 28 years since Ed Millet introduced me to the ABC+D approach and I’ve spent that time refining and further developing Ed’s basic concepts. The ABC+D Approach course will teach you this system of analyzing how a person’s health is out of balance and help you select remedies that will help the body restore itself to health, naturally.

Although this course is written primarily for people who want to help other people find the right herbs and supplements, it is also valuable in helping a person learn to understand their own body and find remedies for their own health problems. The ABC+D Approach builds on the concepts presented in Fundamentals of Natural Healing (which I recommend studying first) to provide a practical working knowledge of how to help the body heal from chronic illness.

Using a model I created called The Disease Tree, you’ll learn that there are four root causes of disease, six imbalances in biological terrain and eleven body systems which you need to work with to help the body heal. This is far easier to master than trying to learn or develop protocols for hundreds of different diseases (and legally safer, too).

In the ABC+D Approach you’ll learn:

• How to Activate a person’s capacity for self-healing by helping them develop a positive mental attitude and resolve their emotional wounds.
• How to Build good health by helping people improve their nutritional intake without overwhelming them or making them feel guilty
• How to Cleanse the body to remove heavy metals and other environmental toxins that may be damaging their health
• How to identify the six biological terrain imbalances and the type of direct aids that will restore balance
• How to identify which body systems require nutritional support, how to recognize the main imbalances in each body system and the direct aids that correct these imbalances.
• This course teaches you how to use the ABC+D charts I’ve created with the help of several other professional herbalists to rapidly learn to identify major imbalances in the human body and know what to do about them. The course includes charts, forms and handouts you can use to help develop a consulting business of your own.
